REAL LIFE MEETS FINE ART

Suzanne Pressman is an Artist and Photographer based in Austin, TX specializing in Lifestyle, Product, Documentary, and Portrait photography.

She considers herself a story-teller, with experience in the studio and on location working with available, natural light. A lover of all mediums, she accepts commissions for paintings and illustrations, documenting elements the camera cannot see. She’s also an aspiring children’s book writer and illustrator.

From the time she could hold a crayon, Suzanne observed and recorded everything around her, trying to make sense of this thing called life. Her photography journey started out in her middle school darkroom where she discovered the magic of photographic expression. Street photography: freezing an everyday moment, gave her a deeper understanding of the human condition. She’s obsessed with capturing the right moment, expression, and the perfect angle; “The decisive moment,” as Henri Cartier Bresson called it. Extremely detail-oriented, Suzanne works tirelessly to create authentic photography and art with a rich voice; she knows how to make people, products and places shine.

Suzanne received her BFA in Studio Art at Florida State University with concentrations in illustration, film, photography, and painting. She continued her education at Austin Community College, where she got certified in Graphic Design.

An Austin resident since 2007, she began Pressman Studio in 2011 as a wedding photography business. Having photographed over 200 weddings and countless events, she applies these techniques and experiences to her lifestyle photography.

When not on an assignment, Suzanne’s adventuring with her Husky mutt, Boa Redhawk, trailblazing through the greenbelt or on epic road trips. She adores all animals and is passionate about conservation of the great outdoors. She loves meeting people from all walks of life and amplifying lives with powerful imagery.
